Anybody surprised Brennan has already passed up Narcisse?

Didn't Narcisse have serious knee injuries?

Narcisse has nearly 2 years of football due to injury. No one has any clue how good or bad he can be. To me right now he's a project with upside.

I'm not advocating for Myles as the starter, and I'm not crapping on Danny because I happen to believe he's better than most act. But I keep hearing, "you're giving up on the season if you start the freshman, that's guaranteed 3 losses."

With that said, whose to say this team isn't a 3 or 4 loss team regardless of whose your QB? I fully believe Etling is the guy, but to me you start the better player. Regardless of class.

I can guarantee this team loses 5 games anyway. Just play him.

What we are missing here is that it's not a game and I'm sure they aren't making Myles do any checks and what not. Basically there's much more to being the best player or QB then throwing balls better then the other QB.

I just think it's a lot to ask a freshman QB to come into LSU and run an offense he's just learning. They need to at least give him time, work him in slowly at the very least.

Which I'm sure that's exactly what they doing in practice which is probably why his stats look better. I'm sure they are throwing the book at Etling.

No, I'm not being skeptical. I really didn't know what to expect with Narcisse being an early enrollee and Brennan getting here in the summer.

Why is everyone surprised about Etlings stats?

Because the rant has been pumping sunshine all summer about him drastically improving and he being our only option. He is who he is.

Etling is pretty limited. These numbers aren't shocking.

Yep and that's the starting QB for LSU. He's not the greatest QB I've ever seen but neither was Matt Mauck or Matt Flynn. See

Exactly, no need to rush it, Etling can manage this team well enough, until Brennan's ready.

That easy to say now, but if etling looks awful in the first half vs byu I think coach o will make a move.

Yeah and Jordan Jefferson and Brandon Harris lit it up in practice and scrimmages. All we heard was how great they were looking in practice... Well, look how they turned out to be in real games.... I wouldn't put much stock into a meaningless scrimmage. You guys are panicking way too easily.

Individual game stats have a lot of factors in them to consider even if one watched the game. Scrimmage stats without "seeing" the action itself are almost worthless. I'd rather have a report from somebody that saw the damn thing. Anyway, if Canada believes Myles is the best option, he will and should play. I doubt he will start early on this year.

LSU has been just that since 2012. Noting more or less. This year will be no different with etling at QB if you are honest with yourself.

Less than 50% passing with two ints and no tds is still bad for a starting senior, even against this D. Have to play better than that to compete.
