When they are dropping so many passes and not attacking the ball in the air; the team will naturally go away from the passing game. There were at least 3 drops against EM and 4 against Syr. Plus, there were a handful of other passes where the WR waited for the ball to come to them while the defender went up and made a play on the ball. BH has had some accuracy issues, but he's getting the ball there in a place for the WR to catch it. The problems in the passing game mainly fall on the WRs.

According to the apologists on here you're not allowed to point out the obvious problems with what would be our passing game if we had one to speak of.

Lets face it, some of our WR's are gifted athletically but are not good at catching the ball and some are good at catching but not very athletic. Only Dupre is good at both. Put in Dupre and our possession receivers and let Dural ride the bench until he learns to catch.

I hope Fournette slaps the pout outta Dural.

These receivers need to sit down and watch a highlight reel of Hines Ward. They need to have the mindset that when that football is in the air it belongs to them and to fight for it and block like a savage when it's a running play. After you have clocked a few db's I guarantee there will be a new level of respect and their heads will be on a swivel

LSU has a lot of talent at WR. Yes, there have been some drops, and that's going to happen. Every NFL team has drops. But, I think some of the inconsistency can be attributed to their lack of involvement. They still have to make those catches, but I think there could be an issue of them pressing somewhat when they get their chance to make a play. These guys are playmakers, and I'm sure many of them had high expectations about the contribution they would make this year.

Through four games, the receivers haven't really established a consistent rhythm with Harris. There have been some opportunities to establish that rhythm against four subpar Defenses:

Total Defense Rank (from ESPN)

Mississippi State - 70
Auburn - 93
Syracuse - 48
Eastern Michigan - 118

It's obvious that LSU doesn't have much confidence/trust in the passing game yet because at the times when these games were close, the go-to guy was Fournette.

There was an effort to get the passing game going vs. Eastern Michigan in the first half, but that just didn't happen for a variety of reasons (one of those reasons is that the offensive line has had some problems with pass pro), then it just became a ground attack only. The people who get excited about Fournette winning the Heisman may not like this idea, but I think it would be beneficial for the team in a number of ways (especially when looking at upcoming games vs. good SEC Defenses) to spread the ball around more to different players.

You see I've read plenty of posts saying this
quote:

BH has had some accuracy issues

But in reality he's doing this
quote:

but he's getting the ball there in a place for the WR to catch it.

Which makes this
quote:

BH has had some accuracy issues
horsesh*t

More likely chance you are clueless. Look at his body of work, look at the receiving game UGA had when he was there, especially the season they had like 3 WRs go down and their pass game kept working. Yeah, I can just hear it "Guys, when the QB hits you dead center in the chest, you gots to drop those passes as they are too easy to handle."

The shite that is said on here is insane.

You're kidding right? If you think we haven't run these routes, you aren't paying attention.

The coaches are calling go routed perfectly. Every go route this passed saturday was 1 on 1 with no over the top safety help. The coaches can't make the wrs catch the ball.

You can call out what you want but you can also be called a dumbass when you have no idea what you're talking about. If you think all our wrs do is run the 9 route, you're a dumbass.

don't see that with TD and MD

Wonder why that is. I

Because both have proven more than TQ and neither of their drops were back to back to back and their drops didn't directly lead to the opponent getting a chance to win the game.
The boards infatuation with TQ is mind boggling.

That's why they should make the catch when they are thrown too. If you know you're only going to get a few shots you make the most of it.

If your the head coach and you call passing plays and the wrs don't catch wide open passes do you keep passing the ball OR DO YOU hand the ball off to the best player in cfb running behind the best run blocking oline in cfb?

Say what you want but Harris hasn't Hitt a wrs in stride since the pass against Miss st. that was called back.

He has thrown high ok most of his throws. He has also thrown late leaving his wrs open to big hits. Harris hasn't been accurate. Now he has been accurate enough to get a few more completions bur he is throwing high, behind, and not I stride to wrs.

Say what you want but if the ball hits a WR in the hands then the ball should be caught.

The main route that I think is underused is the shallow cross. Harris has shown a tendency to miss high at times for whatever reason, and that could be an issue with a route like that, but if he is on-target, that could be an extremely effective play with lots of potential YAC.
