I was sitting int eh west upper deck and saw the whole thing. Every fight that broke out appeared to go the Tiger's way. There was only one LSU player that did not leave the bench and it was the kicker Juan Betanzos. He was mad because he got benched in favor of Ronnie Lewis maybe?

a tulane player taking off his helmet to fight (how stupid) and I think it was Burks who just nailed him. Burks kept his helmet on.

I was 11years old and was at the game with my grandfather. (I was born and raised in Tiger Stadium and even though I was his first grand daughter he took me to all the games) Our seats are in Section 1 Row U so we were right there. I can remember my sister wanting to leave and my grandfather told her no we weren't leaving until the end of the game because there were gonna be some sparks at the end. Sure enough, it was on!! I think that was when I realized how much I really loved LSU football!! Have been bleeding purple and gold ever since!

There was still about 2 min left in the fourth quarter when the fight broke out and the game was stopped.
I've never seen a game end like that before or since.
And Shawn Burks going airborn and spearing the helmetless Tulane player was something I'll never forget. Reminded me of an NWA wrestler coming off the top rope.

I will never forget that game either. I was 13 and my older sister brought me to that game in the student section. Like the poster stated earlier it took forever to get out of the stadium because everybody was watching the replay on the monitors and cheering the replayed beatdown.

I remember that and fights breaking out all over Tiger staduim. I saved some greenies life. In the student sec a greenie was on his back w/a LSU fan just pounding his face in. I stopped the fight. Why would an opposing fan sit in the student sec?
