As it relates to help-side defense I think he is flatly referring to Reath being more active on the weakside in terms of being a rim protector, he cannot and will not sit Reath but its motivation.

Sampson is a guy ever since he was in the 8th grade he has been playing backwards if his offense is going he plays on the defensive end but when he does not get his shots to fall or does not get enough true look touches he just does not play. It should be the opposite way around, you play hard on defense you can create offense and you just play more in sync offensively the speed of the game is natural.

I think Mays played a great game IMO especially in the second half, fact is he is not very athletic, he has good size for a point guard but in terms of length, lateral quickness and jumping ability he is not great. Also Darryl Edwards multiple times was out of position on rotations. Onwuasor just struggled everywhere period, need him to give us atleast 10 ppg, he wont score 21 a game like he did last year but need something he looked out of shape and tired.

Basically Wade is trying to undo 3 years of bad coaching, we are still reacting on defense, guys standing up in stances and on drives not rotating over quick enough. We had atleast 3 blocking fouls because of being late, had I think two charges as well and one no call because it was in the restricted area.

Yea there are all sorts of bad habits that need to be undone. Once he gets a couple of classes in he can really start to build this thing. This year's team is basically the woodwork to form the concrete foundation.
