Just like LSU, Ole Miss schedule was the heavy hitters on the front end. Unlike LSU, they have not won an SEC series. I expect the Rebels to most likely take one game. I expect LSU to win by at least 8 runs tonight. Lose a close one in game 2, then take game 3.

Crowds will be huge ( not necessarily because of baseball but because of the Morgan wallen concerts in town this weekend )

If they were night games, I’d agree but luckily they’re early afternoon games to get people out of the stadium and herded out to the concert so it’s a win for everyone

A few statistical notes on Ole Miss:
- They are last in conference play in walks and last in OBP offensively.
- They are 13th in conference play in runs scored.
- They are 12th in conference play in home runs.
- Their starting pitchers have ERAs of 5.4, 6.3, 6.48 and 12.79 in conference play.
- Only 2 relievers have ERAs below 6.00 in conference. One of those has only 7.1 IP and a WHIP of 2.11. The other has given up 6 HRs in 15 IP in conference.

Fair enough. I’d written the team off early last year and didn’t really enjoy the title run as it felt so cheap of my fandom to hop back into the bandwagon once we got hot there at the end
But that team had dawgs on it and real leaders.. this years team is a bunch of young kids and nobody will sack up and get a clutch hit or pitch a high leverage shutdown save for 2 innings in a nail biter .
