Kevin Mawae was incredible that game.

I knew we were ready to play after I saw Kevin Mawae go thru his pre-game routine.

His team leadership that day was a thing of beauty.

bigger than the 1997 Florida upset?

Way bigger, and it's not even close.

In 97, there was an air of optimism around the team and DiNardo, we beleived we could beat florida. Hell, I remember a lot of the "experts" even picking us to upset the Gators.

In '93 nobody, not even some of the most die hard LSU fans thought we would beat Bama.

It was bigger nationally but locally hardly anyone watching the game. and most cant really remember enjoying it because we didn't have big watch parties back then. Men watched alone while women shopped. It was a day game too. I watched it sparingly durin a workout at the Rec. We huddled around the TV in shock when Toomer busted in for the TD.

Gillyard and Northern were a good set of DE's

They were still young and weren't even full time starters at that point. They really stepped it up in 94, as did the rest of the defense. But the offense had the interception game at Auburn and a bunch of other problems.

Damn, if the Heisman was a weekly award, Ivory Hillard would have won it that week.

He was selected SI Player of the Week IIRC
