Does anyone have the picture of the LSU fans tearing down the goalposts? I've searched all over Google, thanks in advance.

And then Dinardo drops one to a terrible Ole Miss team the very next week.

Why is this so often brought up when 1997 Florida is discussed? Who fricking cares? The events are separate. Fine, yea, seven days later, we shite the bed.

But goddammit on Saturday, October 11, 1997... we took down the #1 team in the land, the defending National Champions, the nearly unbeatable Steve Spurrier, while breaking UF's 25 game SEC winning streak, and keeping their NINE game win-streak on us from turning to 10!!!

What happened seven days later, on that awful JP 10:30am (or 11:30) k/o, has no bearing on the prior event, Chinaman hats and all. If you were in Tiger Stadium when #1 went down that night, you KNOW what you experienced... a night that is as good as it gets!!

Still one of the best games I have ever attended. I was in High School sitting in the student section about 6 rows off the field. You really didn't have an option but rush the field, because you were going to get trampled if you chose not to.

My Father-in-law took me for my birthday, Oct 10, We received upgraded seats to "press box" courtesy of the late great Mickey Mangham! I will never forget that night and I still can't discuss it with the wife as she is still pissed she didn't get to go.
