I don't see the surprise.
We bring back the same offense minus ware and ford. Except this time Mettenberger has experience with receivers that fixed a lot of their problems.
Our defense lost a lot but our formerly depleted secondary got VALUABLE playing time this season. We lose Reid and Simon but we bring back Loston, Mills, Collins, Martin Eugen.
Front 7 is STILL stacked. Rasco, Ego, Freak, etc.
This team had a huge off-season scandal involving their best player, a new quarterback, and an injury plague. The second half of the seasons was played INCREDIBLY young and we were still one drive away from being in the SECCG.

I agree with you here,
quote: This team is going to be very good next year
With the Talent coming in and what we have already there LSU will be very good next year especially with a couple more additions with what has already committed. Hopefully LSU can get Robert Nkemdiche (DE 6'4" 285 lbs.) to go with what we have on the D-Line. The Backfield on the Defence will be highly competitive also.
