Looks to me like LSU is improving on both sides of the ball. With this continued improvement, I kinda wish LSU could play Ole Miss and Arky before the big game with Bama.

also take out 2 garbage TDs vs Washington and AU and we're at 10.375 ppg good for #2 in the nation.*

take out the 1 yard TD drive by MSU b/c of special teams and we're at 9.5 ppg*

*NOTE: i fully realize that other teams have the ability to take out TDs to adjust their numbers and that the other teams DID in fact score the points so its RIDICULOUS!!! to remove the points. plz save the tardisms for another day and another thread. thanks in advance.

your "takeout" hypothetical scenerio has more value than you think. it illustrates how close these statistics really are and to me it illustrates that while stats are fun, they are not that indicative of future game success (unless there are wide disparities of course). sorry, i'm not a ranter. i just forgot to set my damn clock back.

defense is actually giving up 12.1 points a game, not 12.3

I understand where you're going. He is just making the point of how impressive the defense has been. They have given up fewer points than the stats show.
