UCLA should not be ranked above us. We beat them when it mattered.

I agree completely

If Florida had won we would be 5 and UCLA 6. That's the way it works.

Was a good season, looking forward to next year.

I know although I think it's odd that they want to do that and just throw out the head to head matchup. That to me makes no sense

Then I'd rather be 6.

Been watching for transfer news. Dalton from Oklahoma is going to ULL and not much else is sure. Think Syndey Smith will end up at Baylor, just a guess.
Looking forward to your outlook thread.

Last I heard Smith was taking visits to Oklahoma State and Baylor

She is only going to get better. Any coach would want Sydney Smith

LSU will be fine, we reload. I expect Sunseri to have a great year.
I consider her like Ocasio, the girl can pitch at a high level and hit and play a lot of positions on the infield.

I understand how it works. However, if you beat a team when it matters most, you should be above them. I know...it is what it is. Argh

I am hoping that Gorsuch is a big surprise next year. She looks capable.

I have been able to attend LSU practices many times pre season and during the season.
Maribeth is the real deal once she passes the mental hurdle. When she is on, her balls have a lot of movement and speed. Jaquish talked about how much she struggled against Maribeth before the season. I really think this off season will do wonders for her.
But I fully expect Sunseri to come in and make a major splash on both sides of the ball. her hs numbers at the plate should be much better but she was walked a lot due to her power. I am not sure who called pitches for her this past season, it was extremely predictable which is why her numbers weren't as high

Carlee Wallace, the catcher from Auburn, has gotten her transfer release and can play anywhere next year, from what I understand.
There is a chance we might end up getting her. She has one year of play left.
Carlson may also transfer out of Auburn.
Seems like there are some players not happy with the rise of Casey Myers, who is a volunteer assistant coach. That's what they are saying.
I doubt Carlee would go anywhere that didnt have a chance at OKC. Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia need a new catcher for next year. We thought Cunningham would step in.
Wait and see what happens, but Wallace would be a huge plus to LSU softball.

Her catcher called pitches this year on her high school team. Her coach was advanced in her pregnancy so couldn't sit down for long periods of time on a bucket. Her HS coach did call pitches her junior year.
Her HS coach did play at Houston when Beth was there so I'm she coached pitchers similarly

She cannot transfer inside the SEC without sitting a year, Conference rules.

Correct... unless she gets a waiver from SEC which is very very rare.
