LSU will be making its 21st appearance in the NCAA tournament which is second only to Kentucky in representing the SEC in the big dance.

You catch hell for over-doing the gymnastics threads, but otherwise you bring some pretty good knowledge about LSU sports

Arkansas has been to over 30 NCAA tournaments
Missouri has like 25 or 26...
I'm pretty sure LSU is 4th at 21. It's still noteworthy
eta: I see. representing the SEC to be precise. I still don't know why we'd take the two out of the discussion-especially Arkansas with its tradition

Arkansas and Missouri did not represent the SEC in most of their appearances. LSU still second most appearances from the SEC.

No disagreement here. Good stat in the OP I wasn't aware of.

Yeah, I figured that's what you were going to respond in with in the initially blank post, so I went ahead and edited while you were editing
tired and cramming for a test, so it took me a sec.

Wasn't trying to trick, meant to state in original post but overlooked it. Go Tigers.

Tigers have most wile active member of SEC other than Kentucky. Not bad considering 19 of those have been since 1979.
When were you a Delt at LSU?

Agreed, although the draconian NCAA sanctions and the loss of the best players to early NBA entry made it difficult to sustain consistent success.

Arkansas and Missouri also didn't have to face the University of Kentucky every year prior to 1975 in a one bid per conference era, either.

Stands to reason. After Kentucky LSU has more conference championships than any other SEC school.

John Brady never got the credit he deserved for the level of success during his tenure, albeit inconsistent. One more year from Stromile, Bass and Tyrus and his legacy might look different.
