LSU related: Cheered for Texas last night!

Living behind enemy lines, I've always carried animosity toward UTx. But last night, I cheered for UT against ND like never before!
There are 3 premier programs that could potentially vie for Tom Herman's services: UT, TAMU, and LSU. Strong and Sumlin were both on the hot seat coming into the season with restless fan-bases possessing deep, DEEP pockets. Given Herman's Texas roots, it's hard to believe these programs wouldn't be more enticing to him than LSU.
Fortunately for LSU, Strong and Sumlin both took care of business (UT starting a freshman QB, btw).
If either program stumbles significantly this year, they will make a play for Herman. So we have to cheer that they have turnaround seasons. If LSU is destined for the Tangerine Bowl (after Saturday's performance, can you tell me they aren't?), then we need to cheer for UT and TAMU to have solid seasons.
In essence, we need to hope Herman's best option is LSU.

The peach bowl is a playoff game.

Me too. And for the same reason. Can't get into a bidding war with Texas over Herman.

We also have to hope Houston gets passed up by the Big 12.

Herman is no way EVER coming here. Drop it.
