This position group to is going to have its usual LSU drama moving forward. I've said for a while, that it will look very different by the end of the spring. The "emergence" of Brennan will cause several current LSU QBs to engage in a degree of soul searching. McMillain, who is (reportedly) set to graduate in May, has already tweeted that his life was going "to be different", after May. As a grad transfer, with two years of eligibility remaining, McMillain will have very little incentive to stay.

Narcisse, will have a decision to make also. The staff has already tipped its hand in favor of Brennan being the future of the program. This notion of QB competition, can be a bit of stretch. Coaches will tend towards guys with experience. Narcisse, one of the nations top dual threat QBs (c/o 2017), will have to hope that Brennan leaves after his junior season. That would potentially give Narcisse the reigns for two years, as RS Jr. and Sr. If Brennan stays for his Sr. year, Narcisse would have the opportunity to start one year. Narcisse may decide to find a better fit, and those programs certainly exists. At the end the day, I say brace yourself for this to play out next spring.

Post-Spring 2018 QB Depth Chart Prediction

1. Myles Brennan
2. Caleb Lewis
3. ??

McMillain - transfer
Narcisse - Juco transfer (2018), FBS transfer in 2019 (Auburn, Houston, etc). Juco might be the best move, as opposed to transferring and having to sit out in 2018, and given the fact that he missed significant playing time in High School.

Next year will be rebuilding, we are extremely young

We need two or three years for the system to function

It’s certainly concerning. Idk what Narcisse is thinking, but it certainly wouldn’t surprise me to see him transfer.

No doubt. Brennan's place (as well as Narcisse) on the depth chart, along with offensive woes, is making 2018 QB recruiting difficult. We need two guys. Top guys dont want to come and sit.

McMillan almost has to. Narcisse is probably a strong transfer lean.

This is why, IMO, you have to find out what you have in Brennan this year. If the situation you laid out in the OP we’re to happen and we find out Brennan is not what we thought he was next year, we’re SOL.

Even if he turns out to be what you think he is, you still will have no depth. We could be an injury away from starting Caleb Lewis in 2018.

I'm not sold on Myles Brennan yet. He seems to be pretty slow. All the best teams have dual threats who can do it with their arm and with their feet.

Georgia seems to have no issues constantly getting top qbs every year

LSU had Less Miles. It's going to take a few seasons to cure his and LSU's reputation, i.e., a place where quarterbacks go to die.

Georgia is a QB rich state. Additionally, their history of Qb development may have been a bit more stable than ours. The fact is, that we still dont have a top QB committed for 2018, and with Brennan looking to take the reins in 2018, and while Narcisse is still on the roster, its not an ideal picture for top guys looking for playing time.

Yes - excuses for several bad years are setting up really well right now.
Agree that Lowell and Justin probably leave after this year. Hope Brennan stays healthy. Few RBs too.

you have no info - he loves Louisiana and loves being at LSU - stop with the lies as you know nothing about the young man

Kelvin Joseph is being recruited as a safety and I think Nelson Jenkins will be a NT.
