1 they know he is fast. Tape don’t lie
2 very likely had to gain weight for weigh in. His time probably would suffer a bit

To get good 40 times guys basically have to train with a track coach constantly.
Maybe Daniels just didn't want to do that and instead focused on being a QB.

Wing for BTj is pretty significant. The only WR at the combine higher was a 6'6" tweener.

Never understood why they don't make them run the 40 in pads and helmets. Who gives a shite how fast they are in shorts. They play the game with pads on!
