The freshman class in 2000 consisted of the likes of:
Corey Webster
Devery Henderson
Lionel Turner
Randall Gay
Stephen Peterman
Eric Alexander
Jack Hunt
Chad Lavalais

All of these guys have national championship rings. All played in the NFL.

The future is very bright in Baton Rouge. 2018 recruits should take note. Championships are coming to BR and right soon.

Not to be critical of a wonderful performance, but any ideas why 17 freshmen played and Jacoby Stevens wasn't one of them?

After catching that touchdown during the Bluegrass Miracle how could he not make a roster?

Because 17 other guys are higher up on their respective position depth charts. Pretty simple.
