LSU Pitching Rotation vs Arkansas

Game 1 - Thursday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. CT (ESPNU)
LSU – So. RH Ma'Khail Hilliard (0-2, 4.59 ERA, 33.1 IP, 12 BB, 41 SO)
Arkansas – Jr. RH Isaiah Campbell (8-1, 2.54 ERA, 78.0 IP, 13 BB, 87 SO)
Game 2 - Friday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. CT (SEC Network +)
LSU – So. RH Eric Walker (4-4, 5.30 ERA, 52.2 IP, 20 BB, 45 SO)
Arkansas – Fr. LH Patrick Wicklander (5-1, 3.91 ERA, 50.2 IP, 29 BB, 71 SO)
Game 3 - Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. CT (ESPN2)
LSU – Fr. RH Landon Marceaux (3-2, 7.04 ERA, 30.2 IP, 14 BB, 24 SO)
Arkansas - TBA
LSU's combined ERA of their 3 starters: 5.64
Arkansas' combined ERA of their (2) starters:3.23
I know Henry and Hill are both out, but this is why we have lost so many games and will continue to do so with these injuries.

I feel like every time this word is used on the rant during baseball season then that miracle happens. Remember it was supposed to take a miracle for LSU to win 2 games at Mississippi State. It would take a miracle for LSU to bounce back from getting drummed by Florida in game one and win the next two. It’s baseball nothing is a miracle. Teams that aren’t supposed to win win all the time. It’s a game designed to where the only thing you should expect is the unexpected.

Shhh you aren’t allowed to mention those things that take away players from your team. You should still be ok despite having key pitchers in your rotation miss a portion of the season.

But he missed his sophomore year with an elbow injury, so clearly the Arkansas coaches are doing something dangerous with their pitchers.

The LSU combined ERA for the 3 starters is 5.551 and the Arky combined ERA for their 2 is 3.076. That actually makes your point a little better, but just for clarity's sake.

Just think about it- if Henry and hill were healthy I would guess it would be worth at least 2 or 3 sec wins, and that would put us at 17-7 tied with Arkansas and probably a National seed. I know it’s a what if game but still crazy to think about how small the margin is
