Nice run for Richard Thompson the LSU tiger. I'll root for our guys in Red, White, and Blue, but I give mad props to the guy faster than Trindon. Can he catch a ball? Guess not, or he'd be in pads.

I had the same thought just before that race. I'll be pulling for the U.S. but it won't hurt my feelings if Thompson wins the gold.

Good Point. But Damn that Jamician Usian Bolt just ran the easiest 9.92 I have ever seen ever. TH (or Carl Lewis for that matter- I think his fastest was 9.95)has not run that fast and that guy just jogged the last 20 meters of the heat. Incredible...he's got to be the odds on favorite.

Without the USA, you would have no singing in Tiger Stadium.

USA.

If not USA, then LSU.

But no one is beating that Jamaican freak.

The finish to the last Phelps race was one of the more amazing, scintillating sporting events I have ever witnessed.

The Jamacians defeinately have a foot hold on this race. Gay looked tight, and Dix just looks a step slower than the leaders. I don't buy the holding the best for last. The Jamaicans were holding a ton more back. The more relaxed runners seem to excell.

As for country or school, the answer should be obvious. But I'd take a tiger winning as a nice concellation prize. HOw bout this? Let's naturalize his arse and make him a tiger and countryman. Better than him sneaking across the border to pick oranges.
