Bama has won 4 of the last 7 national championships, and their coach just won his fifth. Quit pretending there's some kind of unjustified Bama bias. There IS a Bama bias, but it's very deserved.

Yup. I hate that fricker Saban. But, it is what it is. Also, someone mentioned USC has recruited well lately. Um........yeah. So has Bama. But, Bama didn't finish 8-6 this year.

With that said, I think that line is too high. Bama is a team that gets better and better as the season wears on and their superior coaching comes into full effect. If they played USC late in the year I could easily see giving 14, but I expect USC to cover - and lose - in the first game of the season.

Meh. I kinda think Bama is gonna blow their doors off. It all stars at the LOS. Bama is going to dominate the frick out of their lines. Early in the season, LOS domination can lead to some ugly results.

So you make a whole bunch of unfounded assumptions about my post then agree with me. Bizarre.

They weren't unfounded, and I did not agree with you. Your point, clearly implied, was that the oddsmakers had a Bama bias. Otherwise why compare it to the Clemson line?

Your post above seems to confirm my inference. But if I'm wrong, I apologize. I just get sick of people thinking we're victims of media or oddsmaker prejudice.

I made no point. I just thought it was odd that you have two Championship teams, where one is favored by 14 over a team that will probably compete for its conference championship and the other is only favored by 7 over a team that barely made a bowl game.

You seem to have a chip in your shoulder.

Yeah and the thing is Clemson returns their QB..

Alabama will be breaking in so many new players on both sides of the ball.

Alabama being a 14-point favorite over Southern Cal is shocking.

LSU will be more of a favorite against Wisconsin come September.

That Bama line is ridiculous. USC has recruited well lately and can beat them

Nah. They don't have the type of offense or QB to beat Bama. Plus they are in another head coach change, lose their starting QB, lost their OC, and replaced him with their former WR coach and now first time play caller in Tee Martin. Their defense is losing the entire starting DL plus two of the 3 immediate backups, a SR LB and the JR LB Su'a Cravens (aka the best player on that defense).

USC is too much of a mess right now to handle Bama game one. Don't care what Bama loses, they have shown that they can and will reload. USC has shown that they collapse.

LSU -3.5 is as close to easy money as it gets. LSU returns everything, with an upgrade at DC and don't lose OOC in the reg season. Line should be close to 7

Worse with NFL fans. They were calling Mariota a bust after his first preseason turnover. They've gotten on Melvin Gordon this year as well.

It's not always true, but quite often it is.

If a player has it, we usually see it quickly. Of course there are exceptions, but usually that talent is evident and we can see it quickly.

In Tiger Stadium or on a true neutral field, the Tigers would blow out Wisconsin. Playing the game in Green Bay with about 90%+ Wisconsin fans will be soooome challenge
