lsu and georgia are the only 2 teams that went on the road yesterday
I mean they played Nicholls, was it that big of a home field advantage?
Can’t be any bigger than LSU playing at home

This team has plenty of offense.

I left it out because I was replying to the poster that brought 2017 up.
That's our best season in recent years and we didn't even have the best season in the SEC.
And the point of that poster (me) bringing up 2017 was to show that midweek games don't really translate into post-season success.
LSU did win the SEC tournament in 2017 and were co-regular season champs with UF, despite not having the "best season in the SEC" that year. And considering LSU was the national runner-up that year to that same co-champ SEC team, I'd say they had the second best year in the conference.
From 2016-2018 LSU was put out of the NCAA tournament by the eventual champion.
Team sucks! Burn down the program.

it does if because of the record you do not get there

How many played Tuesday as well?

tinkering with a lineup isn’t one of them
Tinkering or not, LSU should beat Nichols if they put Eric Walker at catcher and threw each one of their fielders for for an inning a piece. (slight exaggeration) The guys that LSU recr.. should recruit are heads above Nichols recruits.
Every player on LSU's team should start for Nichols, but it looked like none of them believed it yesterday. The team yesterday showed no emotion or will to win. THAT is the reoccurring theme that most LSU fans are getting fed up with over the years.

We'll never be more than mediocre as long as paul is our head coach.

Well, we are similar to kentucky in basketball, the opposing team and fans get up when we come to town. So yes it is an advantage, as much as just playing at home compared to the road in general

Except we’ve already been more than mediocre.

Nicholls - great way to start the season and continue having in-state schools beat us all season long in midweek games.

That post ignores what happened the night before

Stop worrying. Bregs has a year supply of trash cans and sticks on the way. Offense is coming!!

It’s all over now. Pack in the season and roll up the turf.

Dude you realize they threw their best at LSU yesterday while LSU was using guys way down the bullpen plus moving guys all around to see what works in the lineup? I'm not a PM fan but people melting over this shite is stupid. They just won a series against Indiana which has been a good team.
Melt if they start shitting the bed in the SEC. Not concerned with pitching this year it's the hitting and base running that I'm concerned with atm. I know, common themes under PM.

The OP is a moron, and this thread is dumb, but no they didn't.

He looked like the best they had yesterday to me. That guy was good and if that's not their best, then damn. Really doesn't matter one way or the other most teams probably would've struggled against that pitching yesterday. They simply got up for that game.

No panic here just calling it like I see it.
Vandy dropped a game to Cal Poly, while also losing the weekend series. How do you feel about that? They did win that very important midweek game last night though.

We see it multiple times every year. Part of it is probably because that's the biggest game that kid will ever pitch in his career. They are ready to go. Part of it is we were just pretty poor at the plate last night. Combine those two, and you get a midweek loss.

A whole lot of baseball to be played. Some players are obviously rusty. Not anywhere close to panic mode yet.
I love collegiate baseball.
