Chevis Jackson said to ESPN Matt flynn was huge reason to why lsu won 2007 national championship. Then they went on to talk about flynn having to play against patriots. Not word for word at all but kind of sums it up.

without a miracle and a game we all thought missouri should win but could go either way, we were far from matt flynn away from being in the NC

Flynn's terrible first half against Arkansas should've cost us the chance at a national championship. He also played poorly against Kentucky, but he did have a high ankle sprain.

We scored more than enough to win that game. Nutt used the same gameplan as he did with Ole Miss this year, and we couldn't stop it. Gave up 50 and 70+ yard runs for touchdowns and let Casey Dick convert on a game saving 4th and 10.

In both losses that year, the offense produced more than enough points to win a game. The D lost those games, in key moments, they failed big

What sets a championship team apart from all others is a core group of leaders to take the team to the promised land. We have had great leaders. What we have been lacking since Flynn is the leadership, poise, and control at qb. I know this is obvious to us all but Mettenberger will bring that control and leadership back to the postion.

Since WVU's quarterback being injured is probably the reason they lost to Pitt, wouldn't it be reasonable to blame the loss of Alexander, Dorsey, and Ricky Jean-Francois as the reason we lost to Kentucky and Arkansas.
The offense, with flynn at the helm, set a season scoring record that year.

Flynn never started a game at LSU that we scored less than four TDs. Anyone who criticizes that performance must have an agenda.

Agreed. However key injuries had much to do with both losses. Flynn should have been rested against Kentucky due to re-injurying of his sprained ankle the previous game but RP was in the doghouse at the time. Still not sure why Scott was factored out after a great first half, especially considering Hester was so banged up he couldn't carry for that final 4th down play.
In the Ark. game, Nutt called the plays that took advantage fo a half-dozen injured defensive players for the Tigers. The bottom line was the team still had to win the SEC title game to get into position to jump into the BCSNCG and they did that. Not at all like OU backing into the game after a loss in '03.

Seems I remember Flynn making a perfect pass to WR Byrd to beat Auburn in 2007. Or was I dreaming that?

So what you are saying is that if Missou wins, and if Pitt...... and if.... and if.... and if....
All those ifs. Kind of stupid isn't it? You can what if every game, every season, every team and still you come off looking like a dunce.
