It is amazing to think of what Emsfinger did with this offense with 0 lead time.
Emsfinger deserves some type of OC award for the job he did.

There was a few times that he went right up the middle a few too many times, but all in all, good game

He said those types of plays were available to run. In other words the playbook may not have changed only the caller. I'm not sure if there was anything I saw different in looks just more variation.

Yeah but after some calm reflection they really did want to shorten the game and give Jackson as few opportunities as possible.

Power I Formation

I don't recall seeing any of this:

When did that happen?

But you're right, he did do a good job by calling a more imaginative offense with the same playbook.

They didn't have time to reinvent the offense, it was about retiming and matchups. Ensminger did a very good job

They shifted into the Power I. They had the I with the H Bank as a Flanker and then he shifted to just behind the tackle. I think one time maybe. I watched the entire game again today on youtube and I was trying to see every Offense they were using. They have the game on youtube that only shows the plays!

I called this the Power I. It was on the TD to the Tight End!

Ah. That's basically still the normal I but usually called goaline formation or the jumbo set, though.

In other words, everything that all of the "Realists" were saying about Miles were factual and all the BS Pablum that the Pumps were spewing about the "Miles Greatness" was complete and utter nonsense. (As most of us could plainly see on the field)

I agree that I think all the different formations and variations that we saw were in the Playbook all along but just were not used for whatever thinking that Miles and Cam had going on.

Agreed and I figured he was just setting up some jet sweeps, but considering how the defense was limiting Jackson and how Guice was running, it was a smart gameplan.

Canada is in a long shadow of Ensminger right now. Thank you, Mr. Steve, for the job you have done.

I believe you said canada was a waist of money in one of your previous post. Ensminger did some good things with Les Miles playbook that miles never would have done. I'm grateful for what Ensminger did but we need someone who can make our Qb's better. I want to see what Canada can with our young Qb's including the two recruits. Danny Etling is what he is a backup starting. He still throws to the first Wr that the play is designed for. He never hits the 2nd Wr if 1st is covered. I would like to see improvement in danny Etling next year. Interested to see what Canada can do to help . I think developing our Qb's is just as important as play calling and i believe this is what will separate Canada from Ensminger.
