I’m sure they have watched every Clemson film form the last five years and I wouldn’t be surprised if they have watched more from the coordinators other stops.

When my wife (no pics) worked for the LSU football video department she had to stitch together film from hundreds of games.

he was aggressive all game. go back and rewatch or just read my writeup on it. he(venables) got torched plenty running and passing against his blitzes. burrow is light years better than fields and will not miss all those reads and throws. nor will we have those drops and roughing the kicker calls.

This years number make it look so but they’ve been blitzing their asses off this year. And they’ve basically given up the blueprint to their defense by doing so.

Exactly. And if they start blitzing, Joe’s gonna burn their arse all game long.

That's good to know. However, you know Saban leaves no stone unturned, but Bama got their a$$ whipped last year. Good to see, but shocking!

True, but what did he do against Bama last year?

I agree with you on your points, but did anyone last think that Clemson even had a chance last year.

The line was -6. It's not like Alabama was favored by 3 touchdowns. Anyone who thought Alabama was going to blow Clemson out last year was not paying attention. Clemson may play in a weak conference, but they aren't weak.

However, the strength of Clemson last year was it's defensive line. Dobbins was gashing them for nearly 10 yards/carry in the Fiesta. Now, Clyde isn't as good as Dobbins, but he's a dangerous runner. Couple that with the Heisman Trophy winner, and Clemson has to stop a two-headed monster.

I'm not counting Clemson out, but this isn't 2018 Alabama, nor is it 2018 Clemson. They have flaws unlike the 2018 team. They got lucky that Ohio State fell on their face.

Obviously, Tua looked like he could handle anything last year. How did that turn out last year?

Number one, who gives a frick?

Number two, that was against a defensive line that were all four selected in the NFL draft. It's a whole different animal this year.

And he’s gonna be hungry coming off the hammy injury. I could see Curry gashing them too. Had Dobbins not gotten injured, you wouldn’t hear any of these Clemson posters chirping, nor would you have anyone claiming we’re gonna lose if we don’t want the game film of last years natty. I don’t see them staying within two td’s of us.

LSU is similar to Bama last year & Clemson will have the same defensive philosophy - bend, but don't break. The Bayou Bengals will be able to get down the field, but Venables will change it up & get aggressive in the red zone. Just like he did against Ohio State. Clemson wants FG's because you know they will score plenty against LSU's defense.

I just want the Oline to have a good game and keep Burrow upright!

If so LSU wins and

Exactly, but Clemson did blow out Bama. Whether Clemson blows out LSU or not, a loss is still a loss, and a magical season is down the drain.

My concern is that LSU has to settle for FG's or turnover by downs in the red zone while Clemson scores TD's.

I agree, OSU lost that playoff game, but LSU could do the same. It does not matter what has happened in the other games. The NCG is ONE game & LSU needs to be ready for whatever Clemson throws at them!! I think that the advantage LSU has is that Clemson is the defending NC & LSU has defending NOTHING!!

Really? LSU is favored by over 5 points. Every body is picking Burrow over Lawrence. LSU has all of the voted-on awards.

I really believe they know LSU will more than likely win handedly, so they’re propping Clemson up to boost ratings and make for more interesting talking points than “LSU’s going to tenderly love Clemson for 4 quarters and make Dabo question his religion.” They know deep down Burrow and the rest of this team’s on the war path for a ring.
