LSU missed a lot of opportunities in this "scandal" that could have solved much of it

1. Fire Les Miles for cause.

2. Woodward cleans house as the new AD, because he wants to bring in all his own people. Would avoid much of the controversy over firing people for cause, discrimination, etc.

I still don't think much will come of this, other than a big PR hit. Most of this is outside the NCAA's purview.

There's no reason to believe #2 is even possible if #1 ever happened.

Firing Les may have kept Aleva here or gotten rid of him faster, in which Woodward would never have made his way to Baton Rouge.

Even simpler than that. Just follow the Title IX employee training process that is clearly explained and report any incident immediately that you are informed about to the Title IX officer and then back away and let that dept handle it. You have concluded your responsibility at that point.

I still can't get over how someone didn't strongarm Les into leaving for no or next to no money with everything they had on him when they fired him.

Then again, the people doing that were all tied up with Miles and I guess they all wanted it kept swept under the rug where they all put it.

The Department of Education launching another investigation is comical. Talk about a bloated and toothless organization.

We’re going to get hammered in the media no matter the outcome, so Scott should see this as an opportunity to do like you said. Clean house and build an AD more equipped to handle the coming changes to the NCAA.

Could have fired verge & seagar & I guarantee you they wouldn’t continually be pressed about it as hard.

Still would have been extremely difficult for LSU to get out of the buyout in 2019 because the INSTITUTION knew about his scumbag behavior dating back 6 years and essentially condoned it for 6 years by doing nothing. Had Alleve and F.King had any balls between them and fired him for cause in 2013, any buyout would have been minimal and LSU would have come out smelling like a rose for tackling such a crisis by nipping it in the bud AS SOON AS THEY were made aware of it.

As to the wanting hot girls to be recruiting bait, that will NEVER end and it goes on at just about every major P5 school.

What really pisses me off is that he basically overstayed his welcome here because the administration basically propagandized Les Miles as the honorable and decent man who deserved another, and another, and another chance to right the ship. Now, we know that this was all a f*cking LIE.

I don't like you and think you're a troll and a bad person but you are 100% correct on that.

See you the next time we agree in 2022.

Yea that was a strange deal that they didn't fire them (still strange that they don't still fire them)....although I know Verge is well connected in highly powerful, political circles in LA so maybe somebody is protecting him.

He's better at being more irresponsible.
He's good at spending like he's playing with house money and signing checks for people who apparently don't need to be interviewed.

Sarcasm [OFF] - He's been a shite show.

This is his people. Most of the AD dates back to when Woodward was here with Emmert.

I fell for it.

He was the quirky grandpa type who acted weird and talked weird but was loveable and, like many older people, just unwilling to change.

Now that more is coming out... he really was a bad person.

I would be surprised if Sharon Lewis’ salary and title IS NOT consistent with salaries across the SEC... Are we meant to believe she’s dined on shite sandwiches from coworkers and bosses for the last five years?

Sure, because salary and title are the only conditions of employment where one might experience discrimination or retaliation...
