Seems like they show the LSU tape or talk about the game these prospects had against LSU more than anyone else. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Mel likes to show LSU film because he believes they are an elite team, but knows they give up a couple plays that make people look good

Bc LSU along with bama, ohio state, Florida state and others are stocked w NFL players. More starters on these teams will make an NFL roster than won't. The highlights the drafted players have against those teams show what they can do against the best athletes in college, and the type of guys they will face in the NFL

It's a great thing IMO, shows that LSU on your helmet still garners respect. Whether it be making plays or having them made against you

He's getting an early start on his prep for the 2017 draft.

Dude, I thought I was the only one realizing that crap. I didn't watch much of the third day, but after every single Bama player drafted in the first round, several of the clips were vs LSU. I was like, WTF, they played at least 20 other teams in their career yet LSU is the tape being used the most. I remember them talking about Dak vs LSU like he didn't have several other better games in 2015 alone vs other teams.

Ok. But WHY does this bother you???? A lot of Bama players had their BEST games against LSU. Sure it could lead to some bad press for the Tigers but hey.... Best BAMA and it will change.

Why they may not say it, everyone knows LSU vs BAMA is the game of the year - even here in T-Town they know.

I wonder if the coverage on NFL Network showed the same thing. I was really only following on ESPN.

LSU and Bama will almost always be the best comparison to actual NFL play. None of the scouts know how a player will play against real NFL talent, but LSU and Bama both have close to NFL speed across the board.

I think both Cameron and Orgeron indicated that the way LSU runs practice is very similar to NFL practice. A lot of our football coaches have a year or more coaching in the NFL.

ETA: For that matter, I've heard a number of comments over the years (going back to our previous head coach) from NFL coaches after drafting our players say things like, "They run a very pro-like system down there. When we get a player from LSU, we know the transition is going to be a smooth one from where they were to the way we do things here."
