LSU Matryoshkas (Nesting Dolls)

Talking about these:
There seems to be a matryoshka thread every 2-3 years. I’m motivated to start this one as I just picked up my fifth set from a coworker who went TDY to Moscow for two weeks and made the obligatory jaunt out to the Izmailovo Flea Market on my behalf to pick up several sets of these copyright-violating tourist-focused trinkets that Russia is known for.
What always interests me is the selection of players that the artists / craftsmen choose to put on the five dolls of descending size. They don’t always pick the five best players. It’s usually a pre-season guess based on preview magazines and the internet. Names are often misspelled or wrong entirely. Races aren’t always accurate (I’ve seen a Packer matryoshka with a black Favre and a white Reggie White). Size is definitely not considered (Spears and Dorsey are small pieces in their respective sets).
The breakdown of my sets follows. Interesting choices on last year's team - JJ not getting the Russian love:
2001 Team (Purple)
Toefield
Davey
Henderson
Domingeaux
Spears
2003 Team (White)
Mauck
Randall
Clayton
Henderson
Carey
2007 Team (White)
Flynn
Hester
Steltz
Dorsey
LaFell
2011 Team (Purple)
Lee
Ford
Randle
OBJ
Ware
Misc. 90s players (White)
Booty
Kennison
Young
Galas (error)
Faulk
Wondering the composition of sets owned by fellow Ranters . . .
