Party line of the positigers in 06.
They know Miles is mediocre...over compensate by defending him. Excuses, scapegoats, etc.

LSU and Saban made each other. He needed a program that could generate the money to make all the capital improvements that would bring in top talent and/or keep top talent in state and we needed a coach that could convince the university and backers to spend that kind of money and then sustain it with winning football.

One could argue that he has gotten better since he was here. Therefore the math argument would be null and void.
