No, we got beat because we our offense is anemic and our "two-minute preserve a lead" defense has to be the worst I've ever seen.,

I just don't get that. We had a chance to make a statement of being one of the best teams of all time.

And then you have Blackwell making statements bitching and moaning about having to play a team we beat already.

That pissed me off at the time and still pisses me off.

We didn't bitch about having to play Georgia again in the SECCG in 2003, we just went out there and beat them much worse.

Some people last year actually used that excuse. That the BCSNC is an exhibition and nothing more. They also said that winning the SEC championship game is more important than the BCS.

based on a few lucky ST plays

didn't we have like 0 first downs and like 25 yards in the first half of that game?

GOAT for sure

no. that game was vintage Miles. Unprepared, undisciplined, horrible playcalling, inexplicably not playing the ONLY guy with the hot hand, etc. That is Miles football. Get used to it until he gets fired (never) or retires.

Oh, I wasn't happy at all, but that's how good that team was. Crappy QB play but special teams, defense and a running game so good that it didn't frickin matter. Hey, some of those stud Nebraska teams couldn't pass a lick either.

I garauntee you, if LSU wins that title game there would have been a good bit of discussion about that very thing. And it would have been IMHO legit discussion.

i'd say lucky

we were unlucky in 2008 and lucky as hell in 2011

ironically, the sandwich of lee's career

i was already dismissing that argument early in the year pointing out our huge flaws and people called me a negatiger

well, i was right. once our luck ran out we got EMBARRASSED by bama

And we were a run first, run often team. If you could stop them for 60 minutes from running you beat them. Nobody could.

Hey, I have never a guy to blow Les, and neither that team nor those great Nebraska team or any were without flaws.

I don't think we ran out of luck, I think Les our staff and our players simply and for whatever reason absolutely put forth a piss poor effort on every level.
