LSU lost because of batting approach

We are so aggressive at the plate. When we need to find a way to get on base or work up a pitch count, we almost never do. We can blame defense I guess, but we let UF - with very little pitching basically throw 3 guys against us in 2 games.

What game were you watching?

Base running has sucked arse.

No? We didn't work counts. We swung early. And tonight, with the wind blowing in, we swung for the fences for 6 innings.

Problem both games was LSU was not aggressive enough at the plate. Florida throws strikes and LSU continued to take strike one on hittable breaking balls because LSU looks fastball early in counts. Just once I wish someone would have sat on that pitch and crush it.

For most of the game, we had more errors than hits. Sooner or later it catches up to you.

And errors and base running mistakes and lack of pitching depth.
