Alabama - 41 RZ trips, 24 TDs and 11 FGs and they rank 46th in the nation in RZ efficiency.

LSU - 39 RZ trips, 31 TDs and 7 FGs and we rank 2nd in the nation in RZ efficiency

So, which team has the abilty to pound the line of scrimmage and carve out those tough yards again.

What is important about the redone stat is that we have only allowed an average of 2 trips inside the 20 yard line per game. That is a great statistic.

So in 8 games we have only allowed the opponent into the redzone 15 times? And of those 15 we forced a FG 6 times.

This is what's most telling about that stat.

In my opinion, of course.

lsu ranks last in red zone defense 8 games scores / chances 15 16 9-td 6 fg alabama ranks first in red zone defense red zone offense lsu ranks first

This may have something to do with pulling back the reins on defense once the game is in the bag.

Is it because most of those scores were at the end of the games and the defense was mostly subs just getting in the game??? At least that's what I think it is
