Decent teams have exposed them. Padding your stats and hype against weaker opponents doesn't mean crap if you can't match up against the big boys. CPM has his work cut out for himself. Ain't holding my breath.

This is what makes this thread relevant and worth discussing IMO. Historically under CPM the majority of LSU's lineup has struggled against high-level arms on the mound. Every once in a while they come across a big league talent and predictably struggle but they continually make really good collegiate pitchers look outstanding.

Our hitting coach didn't know how to hit when he played baseball.

Mica Gibbs was quite a good hitter fo LSU actually. Batted 4 hole for much of his sophomore and junior years.

Of course that doesn't make him a good instructor, tho.

fricking ouch. Our hitting is so so bad against good competition. This weekend they look like they have just given up.

Agree. Also I don't see a plan at the plate against better pitchers. In these times these guys have so many tools to prepare for upcoming pitchers its crazy. The hitters should be ready for the location and movement, especially after the first run through the lineup.

Hey bruh/brah/bro/baw, can you and all the pathetic little non-competitive cheerleaders that have never worn a jock in your lives, please come up with something else besides the "It's/That's Baseball" BS? Getting old, worn out and as irritating as the PIP in TS!

We can live with our pitching, but if the bats don't start helping, we will finish in the cellar with Georgia. I think Florida started this weekend with the worst team batting avg. in the SEC. That says something about our pitching.

And that is the crux of the issue. I think they are missing their hitting coach more than anyone would let on. Their approach at the plate, especially against top P, is horrible. Swinging at first P breaking balls, watching good pitches, expanding the zone, etc. We saw this vs TCU, and now you see it again vs quality P. They really need to look at the film and adjust their AB approach. Talent is there IMO, make adjustments and press ahead.

If they are not able to perform then why are they on the field?
Oh that's right Paul Miles recruited them, coached/developed them, inserted them into the line up, pumped em up with a pregame speech and on top of that asked them to pay most of their own way.
So it's their fault for being here in the game and at the plate and not performing.
I see you logic now your a freaking genus.

Yeah, Mr. Tough Guy here hijacking a perfectly fine thread, talking about fricking people's retarded parents and being a dickhead for no reason while completely forgetting he posted a thread with his and his fat old lady's engagement photos. Tried to play it off like it wasn't him as you can see, then went and edited that thread.

Another case of internet bad arse gone wrong. Fatty even posted a picture of his truck and where he tailgates at in the Fall.

If a coach is not held responsible for the results on the field, then why even have a coach? A leader is given credit when the team does well, and he takes the blame and bears the responsibility when the team tanks. That's simply how it works.

LSU gets a lot of top talent, many of whom were the stat kings of their HS teams. In any sport, often these type of players got to do what they wanted. No on told them how to hit, they just got to do what they did best - often against many pitchers who will never play college ball.

Fast forward to LSU, if this same attitude prevails, then the Florida's make you pay for it.

So yes, coaches are on the hook for these "slumps". Basically these players are reverting back to High School plate discipline where they never saw a pitch not worth swinging at in any situation.

resultson the field show him winning at a remarkable pace. This whole thread exists because that has been thrown out. I'm more than happy with judging PM on results on the field.
