West Virginia was 17-16, 9-9 in Big12. They return pretty much everyone and should be a top half team in the Big 12

Too bad we couldn't get a home game out of it but still a good opponent.

West Virginia is a solid team. Always liked Huggy Bear as a coach.

Was hoping for TCU but a man can dream right?

but in all seriousness a good matchup, and could be a tournament team we play OOC. Hopefully the rest of the schedule is good to help bolster our resume.

5 OOC games left to fill. Right now the only two good home OOC games are UMass and Texas Tech. I think most would agree that both games are good, but not great. Obviously LSU is going to add some in-state schools to the schedule (La.Tech might be a good addition now), but it would be nice to see them get a Big East or ACC school on the schedule as well. Teams like Duke, UNC, UCLA probably wouldn't be in play, but someone like NC State, Notre Dame, Miami wouldn't be far fetched.

S, any word on quarterman? I figured if he were leaving, he would have left by now

WV will not be a top 25 team. They have a real good PG Juwan Staten who can get buckets he averaged 18.5 PPG. Their 2nd leading scorer Eron Harris is transferring and he averaged 17.0 PPG. They are weak down low. Will still be a close game but I see LSU getting the win with a bigger and more athletic front court.

You're one of the few who doesn't have WVU in top 25.Last year we were weak down low,but Jonathon Holton 6-9 and Elijah Macom 6-9 will be on board to correct the problem.Losing Harris was a surprise but he became inconsistent late in the year.Teams learned how to defend him.His points will be missed but there is adequate scoring available to replace him.
