Pearson, Kling, and Braswell won't see the field again.

I’d like to see Frey get into the mix a little more than he is. I think he can compete for an OF/ DH spot with his offense.

Unfortunately he may be the odd man out with Jake Brown playing how he has. Travinski will be the DH most of the season. I don't think Jay wants to tire him out or risk injury behind the plate.

With that said, I would also like to see Frey mix in RF just to get him at bats. Maybe he is the 5th guy in the mix with Milam, Pearson, Kling, and Brown who will be rotating starts to start the season.

Truly JJ has so many options to rotate out certain people to keep them fresh all year. Namely helps that we have 3 catchers that can all do a serviceable to excellent job filling in for the other. If Frey can't crack the outfield/1B and he is raking, I wonder if JJ tries him at DH to get his bat in the lineup.

I think when Travinski is at catcher, a LH bat will be the DH. Likely Neal like we saw this past weekend.

Brown being a LH bat helps his cause and he also was the leading hitter over the weekend. So he helped himself also. Then you have Pearson mixing in. Jones will stay at 1B for as many games as he is hitting. Even when he goes into a slump he will have a longer leash. Don't think Jay will mix him much and let him start all these games to get defensive 1B reps and also more at bats before SEC play.

I love Frey but I still think we are 1 year away from seeing what he can really do. He would have to be extremely productive pre SEC play to give him a shot at a starters spot because it seems he is behind the other guys up to this point.

Sorry. Off The Bench this morning declared the catcher’s position settled. It’s Brady Neal going forward and that’s final. Batting .750 just isn’t going to cut it. Sorry, Milazzo.

How loud was T-Bob yelling? That should help determine the validity of his statement.

We’ll be tough to beat if we have 7 guys hitting over .500 all year

I wish Tommy wouldn't swing at the first pitch so much. Batting .400 isn't going to cut it

I don’t think he can be the 5th guy (4 playing and 1 sitting each game). This is only 3 positions - CF, RF, 2nd base. Need another position. Unless the thought is rotating 5 guys in 3 positions but that’s not the way I understood it. There has to be another position Jay has in mind. We’ve played 4 games so I guess we will know by who sits the next game. Only one that makes sense to me is Braswell and slide Milam over to short.

True, but at some point Kling has to hit. He was supposed to start last year but couldn’t hit SEC pitching. If he can’t do it this year, I’d consider Brown to CF and then RF/ 2B could be the best combination of Pearson, Milam, and Frey.
