So why are folks surprised and upset they've lost the last two games and could possibly lose the next two?

Next year will be no different because it's been the same for the past couple of years. Don't expect asst coach changes to make a difference, it isn't.

So, be happy when LSU loses two or three games and wins a mid-tier bowl game.

A missed field goal is a fluke?

That game was nowhere near as close as the score indicated

Ah yes. The bandwagoners have come out of the woodwork now. Let's look back and call everything a fluke now.

LSU was sporting a 14.3 point Margin of Victory through 7 games.
That may not seem like a lot, but since 2000 it is the 5th highest.
Behind 3 teams that played in national championship, and a 4th that lost 2 games and destroyed ND in the Sugar bowl.

Mississippi State mismanagement of the clock was the fluke.

That doesn't mean LSU won on a fluke. Kicking field goals and clock management are all part of the game.

and a perfect example of what happens when a coaching staff doesn't go for the kill...build a lead and shut it down

Fluke =\= struggled.

We certainly struggled against most teams we played. We've come to expect it against cupcakes.

Msu - tight game until the end
Aub - no struggle
Syracuse - 7 point game in the 4th
EMich - up 6 at halftime
Scar - no struggle
Uf - struggle, put ourselves in bad spots
Wku - up 7 at halftime
Bama - lol
Arky - lol

Maybe there's more to the story than just coffee to ER back when season began...

False!!!

I am as ready to see Miles step aside as anyone but your statement is False.

We dominated Auburn from the first play of the game.

Yes, they got a couple of cheap, garbage time TDs, but that game was basically over the second LF took the first snap 70+ yards.
