A fourth-grade classroom at a Glendale, Ariz., elementary school is decked out in purple and gold, and students are cheering for the LSU Tigers.

Their classroom is filled with purple and gold banners, photographs, artwork, stuffed tigers, hats and more. Students learn about LSU traditions and listen to Tiger fight songs.

They follow LSU's sports teams, and pay special attention to Arizona Cardinals players from LSU. (Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu are high on their list of dream visitors.)

Too bad they'll have to wait in line behind me. I gotta get all these footballs signed for my "nephew."

The elementary schools in Louisiana don't even generate this much pride in the state's flagship university. It's a shame.

Would love to see Orgeron and alumni visit the school.

But man, could you imagine the disgust if your kid came home one day and announced they had been assigned to a Bama or TAMU class?

They should call into the Coach's weekly radio shows.

Wonder if Dr. Oneal, Ph.D. might be in the neighborhood one day?

That's not true. My niece has had LSU/Saints day in from daycare to preschool to the 1st grade which was two different schools.

My sister also graduated from LSU so it is always LSU day for my niece on those days she barely lets her wear Saints stuff.
