1. Oklahoma 197.500
2. LSU 196.750
3. Washington 196.175
4. Stanford 196.075
5. Mizzou 195.825

On Vault we had the best total score with 49.450
Gnat for the second meet in the row got a perfect score!!

On Bars, it was a very good night with a total score of 49.325
Freshman Lexie Priessman did well again with a 9.875
Sarah Finnegan rebounded this week with a 9.900
Zamardi had a good routine as well with a 9.900 as well.

On beam, it did not go well at all tonight.
Gnat had a great performance with 9.925,
but....
we had two scores of 9.300 and 9.350
Overall score here was a 48.600, if one of the routine was standard 9.700 we would have eclipsed the 197.000 mark this meet.

On floor, we had a good night with a total score of 49.375.
Freshman Mckenna Kelley had a standout performance tonight with a great routine, scoring a career high of 9.850.
Sarah Finnegans first floor routine as a tiger went well after scoring a 9.900 as a tiger on floor.

Overall it was a step in the right direction. We still have things to clean up, specifically on beam! DD needs to make some changes here. I suspect Freshmen Julianna Cannamela and Priessman will get an opportunity next week.
The freshman class continues to get better and they should be tremendous towards the end of the season.

Solid work on 3 events, but we need to get beam cleaned up. I don't want it to bite us in the postseason like last year. Still a good performance overall, and I don't think anyone was beating OU tonight anyway. Plus we got the SEC win over Mizzou.

OU was insane on bars, and they did really well on floor too. OU was pre season #1 for a reason, they return an entire team practically of all-americans.

I know Clark does training mainly with Bars, Moore trains mainly vaulting, the volunteer coach has a huge part of our floor routines and development.
So does that mean DD does Beam? I don't understand why every meet it seems like we have major mistakes on this event. We are much better than the scores we have gotten.

What's weird is that it's been different gymnasts making the beam mistakes, not the same one twice. I thought Finnegan was strong on beam, then she only gets a 9.35 tonight. Not really sure what's going on there.

As a huge gym fan that has followed the program for years, I'm starting to think we won't get beam cleaned up. This team normally has nerve issues in the post season. They are already showing that now. 3 meets in a row with bad beam rotations and it's up and down the lineup with signficant checks and wobbles and then falls. We are a very young team, so I was expecting inconsistency but we aren't hitting on beam at all since the first meet. The beam meltdowns are so frustrating, because they have the talent to win a national championship.

I think DD has to make some major changes in this area. For it to be different people people struggling on beam this year is pretty odd. I mean that is the only thing holding back this team.
We are great on vault and floor
Bars keeps getting better, pretty good here.
Beam I have zero confidence....

I was at the event. That 10 was awesome. The beam was clearly the downfall. I think they can put it together in the postseason. Man, gymnastics are such a fun event to attend

I noticed our following class, not the one we just signed, all are suppose to be really good on beam.
Especially Reagan Cambell, who is suppose to be a big time recruit.

I was at the event too. The team looks great overall. The tough thing on beam is that when you start out weak, it changes the whole event because it puts so much pressure on everyone else, much more so than in other events. Vault is next closest in that respect. I'm not so sure it's a major problem for the team and may only require a bit more reshuffling of the line up to get some confidence inspiring performances up front for that event.

I've got to admit though, even if they find their mojo, Oklahoma is on fire right now and will be very tough to beat, along with Florida, unless for some reason the wheels come off.

DD can recruit but cannot coach. I know this is OU and they were preseason #1 but we choked there at the end. More crappy coaching and.........wait, shite I thought this was another thread bashing the hoops team. MY BAD

Lsu needs to simplify their routines on beam. Okla. & Fla. have the easiest value 10 routines on beam but they stick'em. LSU has the most wow factor, with bonus combos, but wobble and fall. Do a 10 routine with the least amount of difficulty and stick it and this team will win a Natty!

Man 196.75 is a hell of a score. We finished second to a very good OU team. Nothing to be ashamed of. We're right where we should be at this point in the season with time and room to improve. We'll be fine.

I hate for Macadeag leading off on beam, even on vault, she is usually a hit or miss. She is really good or really bad, her struggle has been consistency here. I think we need a new lead off on beam for sure
