Yea I watched his tee shot on every hole for 36 holes. He couldn't make a putt the first round but ended up coming back and shooting 67 the second round...he mentally tough.

I second lsuougel's claim that he played on the best LHSAA high school team ever.

So, when are they going to win an SEC or National Championship? It don't mean a thing if you can't win the ring.

If it was the 2003 STM team, then that would be a correct statement. So many good players on that team.

Running a close third would be the 2000 Vandy team.

2002 STM would have been the best if our number 1 guy who was a senior hadn't got kicked out of school for failing a drug test. ..we still came in second though.

I thought so.

The sickest high school team that I have heard about from the state was a team from the late 1980s that had the three players who went on to the PGA Tour.

Yeah 2. 2 others could have played but chose not to. And one of those 2 that didn't play is now playing on mini-tours.

I seem to remember a team from Shreveport being ridiculously loaded in the late 80s. Perry Moss? and like three other guys.

Loupe was sickly talented a few years ago. I hope he has continued to progress.

Thanks.

I always crack up at people who say they are going on tour or senior tour. It's just so hard to make it.

If you aren't whipping everyones arse in your state on a regular basis you aren't gonna make it. Even those that do kick arse fail at a high rate.

It is one of the hardest sports in the world to make it at. Roughly 150 guys get card a year. 150...

For a little perspective the NFL has almost 1700 people on active rosters.

ETA: If you are not shooting 65 or better EVERY time you tee it up at your home course - you should just stay home because you have no shot at making it.
