...and it's never worked once for me. I have Dish, and they're on the guide, but are never on air.

They only use the alternate channel when they have two college games that will draw in viewers playing at the same time. It's only for overflow purposes.
That, or one game goes over the time slot. Then they air the next scheduled game on the alternate channel until the previous game is over.

This is when it didn't work for me when I had Direct tv.
Missed the beginning of a couple baseball and basketball games.

Here's a question: Why don't you have SEC Network? There are quality games on there and you do realize some LSU basketball games are broadcast on it, right?

Dish, as well as direct TV, are terrible.
