I'll be flying into NYC on the afternoon of the Mississippi State game (9-12-15). We'll be staying in the Times Square area of Manhattan, but can go anywhere in the city.

What are the LSU friendly bars in NYC? Also, any other sports bar recommendations would be great just in case.

Thanks in advance!

one of these days i'll have to see how many times i've given these directions...

if you're taking the subway, get off at Madison Square Garden/Penn Station, then exit onto Broadway, preferably at 33d St...walk down 33d st toward 5th Avenue, you will see the Empire State Building on your left...go past several bars including Jack Demseys (Kentucky bar) and you will see the inflatable Mike outside...

or, go to Macy's...come out of Macy's at Herald Square...walk down 34th St to 5th Avenue, take a right on 5th, walk one block to 33d, take another right and about 100 yards on your left, you'll see Legends...

Been here a few times, solid place. Was in town for Arkansas game 2011 and Legends was jam arse packed. We went next door and politely asked them to put the game on, which they gladly did. Being typical coonasses, we were cheering loudly, ranting and raving and having our fair share of jack and cokes. I saw the manager/owner talking to our waitress and figured we were about to get the boot. Instead, we got our entire meal and all drinks comped. Turns out we brought in the overflow crowd from Legends. That was a good day for Tigre.

I wish legend was the place to go in 2004. In 2004 it was on the upper east side, not the convenient legends location.

Legends. I was there for the season opener against TCU. The place was packed with LSU fans. It was a blast!
