So no one is there to pump anyone up - the team doesn't hang out and get along as well as last year. Not a good sign.

Tyrann is definitely missed, it seems the entire morale of the team is just "eh". Hope that somehow gets changed quick-like.

damn i guess all of our concerns are wiped away because of that game.

That was the best passing team we played and he took away the #1 receiver like always.

step up and be a leader then, Simon

Well, he did say everyone needs step up and be a leader. I'm assuming that includes himself.

I wish I could bump all the posts that said losing TM7 wouldn't be a big deal.

I just can't believe we are in this freaking position. This shite shouldn't be happening. We have to much talent for all this stuff to be coming down.

OP- the good news is that Simon will step up and play better for the remainder of the season. He will play football on Sundays. You-on the other hand-will still be posting about him. Carry on.

We have lost 7 DB's from last year. Considering this fact, I think our defense is playing outstanding.

You are correct. I never said that he was not a good player.

* Yes, I will still be here talking LSU football while he is in the NFL, just like you.
* Yes, I believe Simon will step up and play better the season.

This team needs a leader who will take control and say follow me not someone who is waiting for others to do it and complain about it in the media!

I a still very upset that the administration couldn't find a way to keep him on the team. The words off the team permanently should have never been spoken. I wish he served a 5 game suspension.

Yes, I am a selfish hollow mother fricker with a black soul. Way to teach him a lesson. I am sure CLM was forced into the situation.

He is the kind of player that you do everything possible to keep him for the next three months provided he doesn't get arrested and locked up

I'm not making excuses for anyone. I'm just pointing out the facts. We have lost 7 DB's from last year, a first round D-lineman, and we are still 4th in the country in Total D after 5 games. Can we play better? Absolutely. However, I am confident that our coaches can get these kids to play at a high level. There is still a lot of football left to be played. I think we have a solid chance of making it through October unscathed.

I said after the game that that game could be program defining. I hope I am wrong, but It's not looking good.

If Miles allows that one loss to dictate the future of the program, then he doesn't deserve to be coaching at LSU.

So you take the opinion of some random poster and then extrapolate and infer something else and then come to the conclusion that Miles doesn't deserve to coaching at LSU if all the previous hypothesis, random thoughts, inferences were true!

"Last year it was just so much fun," Simon said. "In the locker room clowning around, on the field clowning around, still being serious but still having fun. This year is totally different.

"Not clowning around in the locker room, not talking outside of practice, we don't get together like we used to get together last year and just chill or do anything - watching movies or anything. That has been a big problem for us this year."

It's an unworthy thought, I know, but the first thing that popped into my head was maybe the rest of the team has been going out to movies and stuff but Tharold just wasn't getting invited along for whatever reason. Poor guy.
