Nope! LSU should wear only purple, white, and gold jerseys. I didn't mind wearing purple at home when we had to. I also liked the gold jerseys when we have worn them.

There are 50 shades of grey so I am sure there is more than one shade of black.

Disgusted to see LSU sell out to Nike. Join the whores of college football. What else can you expect from an AD who thinks a matchup with macfrickingneese is attractive to supporters. I guess you can sell turds if you package them right.

didn't the NCAA just come out w/ uniform regulations that disallowed dark numbers/letters on a dark background (i.e. purple on black?)

ETA: yes this should be illegal based on rules set before 2013 season

quote:

o clarify uniform rules as follows: "Jerseys must have clearly visible, permanent Arabic numerals measuring at least 8 and 10 inches in height front and back, respectively, and be of one solid color that itself is clearly in distinct contrast with the color of the jersey, irrespective of any border around the number." This rule goes into effect for Football Bowl Subdivision teams in 2013. Football Championship Subdivision, Division II and Division III teams will have until 2014 before the rule becomes effective.

That looks nothing like a soccer kit and looks like garbage.

If you're going to do a soccer tie-in, use a modified version of the kit the LSU soccer team uses.

to even further the evidence that LSU won't wear a black jersey w/ purple numbers on it... here's a case where a team was penalized at the start of each half for wearing illegal jerseys

Ark. St. gets penalized for illegal jerseys at Auburn

quote:

Clad in gray uniforms with red numbers, the Red Wolves were assessed two penalties at the start of each half for failure to wear contrasting colors.

Lot of overreaction here to a jersey nobody has seen yet.

Yeah, I think this may be legit. The 2015 version of pro combat. Initially I didn't like it, but after reading the article, I can roll with it.

No way this is real nor will it happen. The t shirts for sale maybe but you can bet your sweet arse that this is a pipe dream. Bama will NEVER wear anything but their traditional colors. The cuts, inserts may change but they will not ever wear a black jersey. In 2011 with the pro combat promos for that year, it was reported many of times that Alabama said they would participate if and only if they use the same colors and scheme of their current uniforms.

Nike apparently packaged them right to both LSU AND Ole Miss the last two seasons, because both have been wearing the identical/duplicate "Turd" jerseys.

Nike seemingly can't produce a high Tech jersey that fits correctly. The LSU/OM jersey's don't fit in the sleeve/shoulder. (The material is too loose and baggy) The shoulder stripes are not high enough up on the shoulder. The numerals are too small on front and back and that "Funky Font" visually doesn't look as good as the traditional "Full Block" numeral font.

We're still using the previous jersey model (With FB numerals and shorter shoulder stripes in the Spring Game) They look better than the current ones.

Don't know what Miles/Stringfellow are looking at. If I'm the Head Equipment Manager, I'm getting Nike to make a few tweaks and corrections. Keep the longer shoulder stripes, but pull them up higher on the shoulder. Return to the Full Block numerals, but go with a 12" on front and 14" on the back, instead of the "Too Small" 10" and 12".

BTW, Jeff Boss never would have allowed the team to be wearing these jersey's in the first place. He would have rejected them...............

ok so apparently Ohio St. has confirmed their alleged black jerseys from a staffer

I'm excited for the black jerseys versus Penn State this year. I think they'll we sweet. It is 100% happening. No need to doubt #truth

don't see how these jerseys aren't illegal and won't get them a penalty to start each half
