LSU football is Enron...

Greedy, arrogant, fraudulent leadership at the top who continue to lie to their stakeholders to keep the house of cards in tact. They refuse to change their tactics, digging themselves deeper and deeper until a once powerful entity is reduced to nothing.
The real losers here, like in the Enron scenario, are the employees (the players) and the stockholders (the fans, boosters and alumni.) The ousted leadership will walk away with huge bonuses and severances at our expense and everyone else who cares about LSU will be left to depend on a shaky administration to rebuild what we all love.
This may not make sense to anyone but for some reason when I'm thinking about where LSU is right now, Enron keeps coming to my mind.

Yep, why even bother to improve when you're one of the highest paid college football coaches and basically untouchable? Not to mention you stock the cupboard with a bunch of "Yes Men" buddies.

They don't know shite about what they are doing with football, but they know exactly how to hang on to their jobs as long as possible and suck out all the money they can before walking away leaving a disaster. The big cat drill and recruiting classes and the hype videos are the flashy skyscraper and the falsely reported yearly earnings that kept the shite show going.
