yes, it would have been nice if the SB guy had not caught the ball, but not only was it classy that the LSU fans got out of the way, it's part of the rule book. And as tight as these umps are calling this game, it's highly likely that they would have called fan interference when the player still had a play on the ball. Personally, I would rather stay classy & let the players decide the outcome of the game if at all possible & keep the reputation LSU has earned & built by doing things like giving a standing ovation to SB's starting pitcher as he left the game. We will survive. GEAUX TIGERS!!

Exactly, if I can't catch the ball you best believe I'm getting in the fricking way.

I was on lunch and had to post about this. Idiots sat there and let that guy dive into the stands for a foul ball.... It would be one thing if it was a woman or a child but a full grown man hahah!

Do LSU fans really consider themselves smart baseball fans? Major league fans push players gloves, and swat balls, especially in the playoffs..

I just rewinded the dvr, I was right, there is a grey haired man in purple who was giving the ump a thumbs up telling him the ball was caught!

Yankee city kids > LSU fans

MLB playoffs. The kid got rewards from the Team, and TV coverage.... I guess the LSU fans would rather talk about their team than actually help them.

Shut your trap. The player reached into the first row of seats. The fans have as much right to the ball that he does.

We need the name and address of the guy in the gold t shirt who cleared out of the way for the guy to make the catch 3 rows back.

LSU should eject all the fans in those seats and set a tone. If your too afraid to help your team win a ball game, then you should be kicked out when you don't help them. Cowards.

Do it LSU!

Catch it, yes. Interfere with a player who can still make a play, no. And yes, LSU are the smartest fans in baseball!

They could have just held their ground and not fled out of the way.

I'm not saying grab his arm, but don't clear the area out for him. I've never seen a player go in the stands like that and have so much room.

You stand your ground and go after the ball. Be quiet grandpa.
