Posted this on the SEC Rant, but thought I'd post it here for LSU fans too.

Went to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores this week. Saw tons of LSU fans. I saw more LSU fans than Bama and AU fans combined!

The ones I met were very nice. They asked about my UCLA shirt I had on. When they found out this is my first season in SEC country I had tons of invites to come to Baton Rouge and tail gate with them. Overall, these fans were great and a real credit to LSU. Well done!

Yeah, LSU fans represent. Whenever I travel, I'm always amazed by it, too. You think its a local/regional thing, but its much bigger than that.

I was surprised. I thought there would be tons of Bama and AU fans. But LSU had them well out numbered. And, they were blast a to drink with and hang out with (and your women are very hot!).

The Bama and AU fans were ok...but no way could they hold a candle to the LSU folks! I am looking forward to a trip to LSU this season!

the gulf from Fl panhandle to around Houston is an LSU stronghold. Go more north in AL if you wanna meet Bama fans, go to Atlanta if you wanna meet AU fans

Always a lot of LSU fans in that area all the way to Sandestin as historically a lot of Louisiana people have gone there to go to the beach for decades. We used to fo to Gulf shores and rent "big red" a hugh beach house with my cousins every year. When 1-10 was finished a lot of people started go on to Destin were water is a little nicer.

Anywhere where there are a lot of Catholics, you will find LSU fans.

and allthough we are still a big minority I see plenty of cars with LSU tags and hats and shirts here in Birmingham, AL. I have been here 9 months
and we always exchange a quick hello & nod as a member of the best club in SEC - Tigers fans whose hearts are still in Tigerland.....Forever LSU

The big thing typical BAMA fans say are that there are two types of BAMA fans, those that are and those that want to be. (Retarded & offensive)
to fanbases all over the SEC

No you don't. I was born and raised in Mobile. At no point, have the home state teams been outnumbered in the state's third largest city. The Alabama Gulf Coast brings lots of tourists in the summer months. They are more than likely to represent "their school colors" on a daily basis, than Alabama or Auburn fans.
