What is LSU current endowment? I think Wikipedia is wrong.

It was around $700 million a few years ago but they did just complete the Fierce for the Future campaign. Part of the goal of that was to boost the endowment, I believe the last I heard they said it was up to 1.1 or 1.2 billion.

System wide, Just under 1.1 billion for FY 21-22 as reported in February of 2023.

Louisiana should have those royalty checks rolling in too. Unfortunately, the political climate caused all of the oil companies to flee to Texas decades ago.

According to the link in the post, it’s over a billion now. That’s awesome to see. Hopefully it can continue to grow. LSU was last in the sec.

I think Princeton's pays for every student to attend and they recoup their investment via endowments... you can imagine their alumni list. Some people leave millions from their estate

Wasn't well endowed, then had to spend money to appear to be more endowed, and still isn’t that well endowed.
