If only LSU could hire someone....
Like a coach, whose job could include making sure the team was ready to play.
They could even pay this person a lot of money to ensure they were ready to go.

Money isn't everything, not when you love playing baseball. This isn't playing baseball. I seriously doubt Alex is happy.
