In 2011, LSU was getting ready for Oregon by practicing at a blistering pace and having quick rotation in and out. This helped the conditioning of the team as well as the timing of the defensive calls coming in and getting set. That LSU defense was one of the best conditioned and dominating defenses I've ever seen.

With more teams going to the quick pace/quick snap offense (Auburn and even State to a degree), why hasn't LSU continued to implement that type of practice/pace? Our defense looked gassed as hell by the end of the first half at Auburn.

Not remotely questioning that. My point is that the conditioning of the current team again quick snap offenses is substantially different than the team that was getting ready to open against Oregon.

Not only the conditioning but the players rotating and getting the play calls in. We had trouble relaying the defensive play calls against Miss State.

Well, Minter was a hell of a MLB...and Reid wasn't to shabby on the backend...
