Mainieri-well deserved

the last time we were in a winner's bracket game in Omaha

2009.

Unacceptable at LSU. Never enough pitching (throwing a different pitcher every inning in Omaha, "Johnny Wholestaff" b/c you don't have enough quality arms, that shite is embarrassing) the last few seasons constantly getting thrown out a 2nd, being too aggressive while on base, always a cluster. I could go on.

He'd be a nice coach at Georgia, Tennessee....but he's not the caliber of coach we need here.

Miles and Jones were completely incompetent towards the end of their tenure, and maineiri seems to not know the obvious of when to make pitching changes. Miles was exceptionally confusing to understand how he didn't see the problem with the offense

Well 2 coaches just got fired, so it appears that the complaining was justified for those. Mainieri wins enough to stave off being fired for now.

With 2 years experience here, you should know better. It's what they do.

Honestly, aside from the fact that LSU has an insane amount of resources as an athletic department from talent to fans to money and the results that Jones and Miles were bringing were mediocre, we've seen an EXTREMELY boring brand of the big 3 sports lately. Football, basketball, and baseball under Miles, Jones, and Mainieri are/were like watching paint dry in the most frustrating way possible. Sports are supposed to be entertaining and fun to watch, most of our fans hate our coaches because they're not getting their money's worth of our extremely expensive-to-attend sporting events. What's the good of winning at a non-championship level if it's boring as shite to watch?

We've got two high energy dudes for two major sports.

The third is a placating, soft spoken (media) persona with a penchance for buggery (locker room hearsay).

Y'all tell me who is the odd man out.

I would at least wait to see how football and basketball rebound before making any moves. It's not like he's running it into the ground but LSU may very well need to look for a younger more aggressive style of coach.

That's one thing about LSU baseball we are easily be the top program coaches should want to be at. Who would you get though I'm not up on the lastest coaches?

Because they are garbage. I don't know how most schools do, but it seems LSU coaches have to damn near run the program into the ground before they get fired. It seems just being mediocre for a long period of time while also getting paid way more than they should is good enough for LSU admins.
