Everyone's complaining about our hitting.
What about our Bullpen?!?!?
Good bit of guys north of 3.5 ERA.

Hard to win when your bullpen is constantly giving up runs.

ERA
Matthew Beck 0.00
Will Reese 0.00
Blair Frederick 0.00
Hunter Newman 1.17
Caleb Gilbert 1.86
Austin Bain 2.81
Nick Bush 3.60
Todd Peterson 4.63
Doug Norman 5.40
Russell Reynolds 7.56
Collin Strall 8.10
Hunter Kiel 19.50

Norman and Newman injuries aren't helping.

Newman comes back and you have Bain, Gilbert, Newman, and Beck that you trust in any situation. .
Peterson, Reynolds, and Kiel are your up 5/down 5 guys.
Strall and Bush are your desperation or blowout guys.

Newman, Norman and Cartright all being out with injuries is killing our bullpen. All 3 of those guys you could argue are top bullpen arms or guys we were going to lean on this season out of then pen. It's unfortunate to have injuries to those guys, with such limited scholarships in baseball, when you lose a handful of guys at 1 spot you're really hurting.

I am also surprised Reynolds and Kiel have struggled so much...at this point you wonder why Cole McKay even came back to the team if he cant get innings with 3 guys out.

McKay has been hurt, from what I've read.

I'll disagree with this one. He had a rough patch, but I think he'll be fine. Gilbert had a similar rough patch in the middle of last season and turned it around.

Bush isn't nearly the liability that Strall and Kiel are. I would put him about the same level as Reynolds.

You might be right but he stays in that category for me until he shows improvement. The bullpen roles aren't set in stone so everybody has a chance to move up.

Reynolds was fine last night until Lyn Rollins went on and on about how RR had NEVER lost a game in his LSU career.
