Bet the farm F. King and whoever else folded last year when we had the momentum to make a change are hiding now more so than before.

They made such a shite show out of this after last season, caving in to Bombay Bobby's saying it would look bad with the University so broke to buy out Les for big money.

Well, here we are. You couldn't stick a hot poker up any of their arses now and force them to move on Les. He's here to stay, he'll run off a few wins, end up with a winning record, and the administration will have the 'want' to keep him and no 'chest' to fire him.

This theory makes zero sense. Any person in the history of mankind that has ever come close to being fired inevitably ends up on a shorter leash after the close call. Alleva has probably already told F King, "we told you so." However, any movement this go around is going to be super quite due to the shitshow last year.

The U can't afford to keep him. The LSU football program funds so many things on campus and that is difficult without a full stadium. Tiger Stadium will not sell out very often this year. Between the people being underwater, we know what we are going to see. We can call the plays from our couches and be frustrated in the privacy of our own homes.

That won't happen. Stupid to suggest it.

You actually believe that? There is no place any of them can hide. Especially now. The people who matter are sick and damned tired of Les Miles drawing that huge paycheck we give him, when he's done nothing, changed nothing on offense to compete in this league. When he loses, he gets the little soft, " feel sorry" for me voice and when he wins he has that arrogant, "it was my plan all along" voice.

Today, when so many people make the tough choices on whether they can even afford their season tickets, you've got this guy coasting to retirement, with no extra effort at all and drawing that fat check.

They'll fire him soon, because they know they've lost us, and they know he's not gonna change, and they know we don't mind paying top dollar for a winning coach, and they also know Les Miles is no longer a winner.

My feelings after the fiasco last season was that Les was safe as a bug in a rug. Today, I want to believe otherwise. Add in the sad state of affairs in LA, the storms, etc, I can't see anyone wanting to start the ball rolling.

I love Les Miles. I'd like to see Coach Miles being shown the door. He has failed his team. He has failed the fans. He did not make the needed changes promised.

BTW, I'd like to see Danny Etling take a few game snaps as well.

People won't skip the game. The majority that say they will on here have zero intention of doing so. Even if they do there's others that will fill the seats. It's not about football or winning to the majority of the people anymore. It's about partying and being able to say they were there. That's why there are so many people that keep saying it's just a game or it's not about winning and losing. That's why it irks me that when you have one of if not the highest coaching salaries in NCAA Football you are paying for Championships, not 9-10 wins a year, and people still don't care.

When you have Marcus spears stating on radio that it is time for lsu to get a new coach, the ball begins to roll

Nobody remember curley's last game in TS? Maybe 65,000 for a loss against southern miss. Oh, it can happen (attendance).

You are wrong about the person at the top. It was incoming Governor Edwards that made that call.

He had probably already targeted TOPS in his budget deal and that would not work with his narrative

Check the history of LSU football from 1956 until 1999. Please put that in perspective before you guys say fire Leslie Miles. That kinda like being bandwagon fans. I've watched LSU almost every game since 91 and this is not the worse loss I've seen trust me.

Les must feel very secure in his job. He pulled down his pants and mooned the LSU nation yesterday.

He either feels very very secure or wants to be fired.

TJ you're right about that. JBE thought it would look bad giving CLM that buyout even though donors were footing the bill.

what is going to have to happen is that pressure needs to be put on the governor's office not only to fire Les, but Alleva, and F. King as well...

JBE better figure out quick that this is an economic issue as well as an university administrative issue...

lack of attendance at LSU games means less tax revenue for Baton Rouge and the state...then throw in the impact on local businesses...

I remember being in Tiger Stadium in 1994, I believe, watching Eddie Kennison return a kickoff 102 yards against Moo State in the rain, and I doubt there were 30,000 fans there...don't go to thinking we could never return to those days - we could return to those dark times if our Athletic Departmemt becomes saturated with politics like it was back then. I know this: LSU fans love their Tiger's but we can't take habitual losing...its too hard on our spirits.
