If LSU beat TAMU do you think the Tigers would be in a better Bowl game? Perhaps Cotton or Sugar. Maybe against Tulane.

Sure, but Tigers were running on empty at that point with our depth. I think it worked out as it should have based on where the LSU program was at that point in time. Purdue was just the tonic the tigers needed as a stepping stone to the off season.

They probably go to the Sugar. I don’t see how the committee could drop them behind Alabama for losing to Georgia in Georgia so they would have been the highest seeded non playoff SEC team.

Better bowl? Yes. Cotton Bowl probably not. Not sure what exact bowl we would have gone to but yes it would have been a better bowl.
